I had left my cat at this cattery for more than a month, and unfortunately, my experience was not very positive. One of the main concerns was the lack of regular updates. I often had to reach out myself just to check on my cat, which was quite stressful, especially when you’re away from your pet for an extended period. Consistent communication would have made a big difference. When I picked my cat up, I noticed she had lost weight, which was quite concerning. Additionally, the litter box didn’t seem to be well-maintained, as the litter level was quite low. Another issue that left me uncertain was that my cat was in a different bedsit when I collected her. I’m not sure if she was kept in the same bedsit that I had originally paid for during the entire stay, which raises some concerns about transparency. Overall, I feel there is significant room for improvement in terms of communication, care standards, and clarity around accommodation. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future customers.

I would say this cattery is good for confident sociable cats, not timid cats. My cat lost 1kg in 1 month - 25% of her body weight. I think they are left communal most or all of the time. So first in first served for the food. Which again, would suit some cats but not mine in hindsight. Owner seems lovely though.

Amazing cattery! Megan took such great care of my little kitten. I was nervous about leaving her having had a bad experience at a different chattery in Auckland but this experience changed everything. Misty (my cat) was frightened to start with and not eating much but Megan contacted me and went and brought the food she normally has at home. She then moved her into her own room as the communal space wasn’t working for her. Misty was calm and happy when I picked her up. Her coat was clean and soft and she seemed happy. Overall a great experience, will definitely go back :)

Great cattery. Our 9 month old kitten was very well taken care of when she stayed here. We can tell Megan gives the cats lots of love and takes great care of them. She goes the extra mile and made us feel at ease that our kitten was well looked after during her 9 night stay. It was very clean and good size room for her.

We have been taking our cats here for years, both under the previous owners and now with Megan and Mark. I am delighted to say that the standards have remained extremely high, which was one of the main things that attracted us to this cattery under the previous owners. Megan and Mark are extremely obliging and pleasant to deal with at all times. They do their best to accommodate my needs as a fussy cat owner, and I have no complaints there whatsoever. The cattery is spotless and doesn't have the smell that a lot of catteries (in my experience) can have. There are adequate litter and trays, all surfaces are clean and the place is bright and welcoming. Megan always offers the storage of our cat carriers on the premises rather than taking them home with us again as we have had to do in the past, which is convenient. We are pleased to support this super local business and hope to do so for many years to come.
