2. Our Directory Service

PetCareHero is an information and comparison directory for pet boarding, kennels, catteries, doggy daycare, and related pet care facilities in Auckland and across New Zealand. We are an independent third party — we do not own, operate, or employ any of the facilities listed on our site.

Our role is to help pet owners find, compare, and contact pet care providers. All bookings, payments, and agreements are made directly between you and the facility. PetCareHero is not a party to any booking or service agreement.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our service at any time without notice. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of these terms as updated.

3. Facility Listings & Accuracy

We make reasonable efforts to ensure facility information — including prices, services, availability, and contact details — is accurate and up to date. However, we cannot guarantee that all listings reflect current real-world conditions.

Pricing, availability, and service offerings change. Always confirm details directly with the facility before making a booking. PetCareHero is not responsible for discrepancies between listed and actual prices, services, or availability.

4. Facility Terms & Conditions

Each pet care facility operates under its own terms and conditions, policies, and licensing requirements. These govern the actual care of your pet and may cover vaccination requirements, cancellation policies, emergency procedures, insurance, and more.

You are responsible for reviewing and agreeing to the facility's own terms before making a booking. Any dispute about the care of your pet should be directed to the facility, not to PetCareHero.

5. Your Responsibilities

When using PetCareHero and when booking with any listed facility, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information about yourself and your pet.
• Ensure your pet meets the vaccination and health requirements of the facility you book.
• Contact facilities directly to confirm availability and details before committing.
• Review each facility's own policies before making a booking.
• Use the site only for lawful purposes and not in any way that could harm others.

6. Exclusions

PetCareHero accepts no responsibility for:

• The availability, quality, or safety of any listed facility.
• Injury, illness, loss, or death of your pet while in a facility's care.
• Cancellations, changes, or disputes between you and a facility.
• Inaccurate or outdated information in facility listings.
• Any additional charges imposed by a facility not shown in our directory.
• Third-party websites linked from our directory.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by New Zealand law, PetCareHero's total liability to you for any claim arising out of your use of this site is limited to zero — we provide a free information service and receive no payment from you in connection with any booking.

We exclude all liability for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of business, or emotional distress.

8. Privacy

Your use of PetCareHero is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect and handle personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

When you use a contact or enquiry form on our site, your message is sent directly to the relevant facility. We do not retain the contents of these messages beyond what is required for the service to function.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on petcarehero.co.nz — including text, design, logos, and compiled facility data — is the property of PetCareHero or its licensors and is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit any content from this site without our written permission.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from your use of PetCareHero will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

11. General

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be severed and the remaining terms will continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right.

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect as soon as they are published on this page. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
