The West Auckland branch in Whenuapai offers day care and boarding in a modern building with expansive play areas. Dogs are grouped by size and temperament for supervised play with rest breaks, and overnight guests stay in Toy Town rooms for small dogs or the standard Vista apartments. Grooming, force-free training and a pet taxi are available on site.

Our dog loves his time at Pets in the City Westgate. The facilities are clean, welcoming and well set up. Sophie, Chris and the team are simply wonderful - they all love the dogs so much, and Sophie’s dog expertise is above what was expected! Would highly recommend taking your dog here for loving doggy daycare, overnight stays and they also offer a really convenient service to drop your dog off for a couple of hours if you’re doing shopping at Westgate ☺️ Five stars! From start to finish, our experience with Pets in the City Westgate was fantastic! The booking process for Tilly’s initial assessment was quick and easy, and we were even able to get it done on the same day. When we arrived, the team greeted us warmly and made Tilly feel right at home. I really appreciated the phone call update during the day and the detailed report card afterward—it gave me peace of mind knowing how she was doing. Tilly absolutely loved her time there, made new friends, and came home happy and tired after a full day of play. We’re excited for this to become her new daycare! Highly recommend Pets in the City Westgate for anyone looking for a caring, professional, and fun environment for their dog.

First time I have taken my doggo to a daycare and I have to say I love it! We bring our adopted doggo Fern here and she adores it! It has upped her social dog skills tenfold and learning some doggie manners, which is awesome! Sophie, Chris and the team there are amazing, and the facilities are super clean, maintained and well looked after. Im pretty sure Fern would sell us off to stay with them as she bounces out the car to greet them every time without looking back! Safe to say she will be a permanent frequent returnee.

Took my Veeru for initial assessment and left him for the rest of the day for him to socialize with other puppies. I am very satisfied with the assessment and the gentleness they showed to Veeru. Veeru is back home and completely crashed out in his crate asleep! I am looking forward for Veeru to grow into a confident, happy, social pup.

Great place for dogs to spend their day, running around and getting all the attention and socialisation. The owners Sophie and Chris are super friendly, always happy to chat and make Pets in the City a warm and welcoming place for your dog! Couldn’t recommend PITC Westgate enough ☺️
