Broadway Vet is an independent small-animal clinic in Newmarket, central Auckland, offering consultations, surgery, dental work, vaccinations, desexing and dog/cat grooming. It runs in-house diagnostics (blood panels, cardiac ultrasound, dental x-rays) and online booking via ezyVet, with extended Friday hours but no emergency service of its own.

My cat Walnut has had epilepsy since she was 10 months old, and over the years we’ve visited several vet clinics. But we’ve never had an experience or treatment results as good as what we’ve had at Boardway Vet. Because of the medication she had been on for so long, Walnut had always seemed like a low-energy, quiet cat. We slowly accepted that this was just who she was. But a few months ago, we came here for a full check-up and blood test, and Dr. Xu adjusted her medication and dosage. Since then, I’ve been very amazed, Walnut has started getting her energy back. She’s acting like the cat she used to be before the seizures started: she plays with our other cats again, she comes to us for food and cuddles, and she feels present in our home in a way I hadn’t seen for years. I only now realise that she could have had this quality of life all along. What touched me even more is how the vets and staff here regularly check in on Walnut and share helpful information about seizures. Seizures are not a common condition, and over the years, we really struggled to find clear information about taking care of Walnut. But in just a short period of time at Boardway Vet, I’ve learned more than I had in all the years before. I feel like I’m finally getting to know my 7-year-old cat again and seeing the possibility of a completely different life for her. I’m truly grateful for everything the team has done, and especially thankful to Dr. Xu for the care and compassion shown to Walnut. I couldn’t be happier with our experience here.

I honestly don’t know how to put into words how grateful I am to Hui and her team at Broadway Vet. Last Friday night, my puppy Ziggy broke his leg, and I reached out to Hui for help and advice. She even replied after hours and was able to arrange surgery for him on Monday. It was such a stressful time for us, but Hui and the team made it so much easier. She did an amazing job with Ziggy’s surgery and was always there to answer my questions, which really helped ease my worries. We also really appreciated the daily updates with photos and videos so we could see how he was doing. Ziggy has been recovering really well under their care, which we’re so thankful for. Thanks again for taking such good care of Ziggy and we are so happy to have him home today 🐶❤️

We took three feral cats here for neutering and microchipping within a week as part of a TNR program, paid for by the SPCA. Broadway Vet responded quickly and flexibly and their facilities are modern and spotless. Vet Hui was awesome, non judgemental and accommodating for the unpredictability of TNR appointments. The cats were very well looked after and we would come back again.

Highly recommend Dr Hui! She is very professional and patient, and my dog Mocha is no longer afraid of vet visits. Unlike some vets, she doesn’t rush and takes the time to care properly. Great service and reasonable prices. Will definitely come back!

Our cat had a grooming appointment here and we were really impressed. The online booking system was super convenient, the staff were friendly and gentle with our cat, and the space was clean and well-kept.Overall, a great experience!
