We have been taking our cat Izzy here since we moved into the area 5.5yrs ago. Izzy is 18yrs now and was diagnosed with kidney disease a couple of years ago. Due to the wonderful care and recommendations we have received from Richard, we have had much longer with our darling girl than we first expected. Recently, Izzy has progressed to stage 4, Richard updated us with such empathy and took his time talking us through what this means and our options for giving Izzy the best last months we can. We are grateful for Richard’s care and advice, along with nursing support, and know we are in the best hands during this final chapter. I honestly can’t thank the team at Onewa Veterinary Clinic enough. I had a really scary experience with my two dogs after they were involvedin a fight, and I was completely overwhelmed. From the moment I walked in, the team showed so much kindness, compassion, and genuine care—not just for my dogs, but for me as well. They took the time to explain everything clearly, made sure I understood the treatment options, and supported me through every step of getting my dogs back to health. What meant the most was their understanding of my financial situation. They worked with me to provide options and never made me feel judged or pressured, which made such a difficult time a lot more manageable. Their passion for what they do truly shows, and I felt confident the entire time that my dogs were in the best possible hands. Thanks to them, both of my dogs are now happy, healthy, and thriving again. I would highly recommend Onewa Veterinary Clinic to anyone looking for a caring, professional, and genuinely compassionate vet team. They go above and beyond.

5 Stars – Deepest Gratitude to the Onewa Road Veterinary Hospital Team especially Doctor Eva I cannot thank the entire team at Onewa Road Veterinary Hospital enough for saving my dog, Pepper, from a life-threatening poisoning. Only three days ago she was struggling to breathe, unable to move, and bleeding heavily from nose — today she is running again, eating on her own, and full of life. The transformation is nothing short of miraculous. From the moment I walked in, every staff member treated Pepper with exceptional care, empathy, and professionalism. The level of attention and communication from the team was outstanding. I want to give my heartfelt thanks especially to Dr Eva, Dr Bianca, Dr Oliver, — all three worked together with such dedication and skill to stabilise Pepper and guide me through every step of her treatment. Their quick diagnosis, calm reassurance, and compassionate follow-up quite literally saved her life. I am deeply grateful not only for their medical expertise but also for the kindness and understanding they showed during one of the most stressful times for our family. Pepper is now back to her happy, playful self thanks to the incredible work of this hospital. My precious, beautiful sweet girl became very ill. The love and care she received from everyone, namely BETH, was just top notch. It was a very scary time, something I don’t wish on anyone and their beloved pet. Richard and his team are just wonderful along with the amazing reception team. Eventually, after what seemed like forever, our sweet princess got better and she’s back to normal, albeit a little extra precious
