What pet owners say
This vet's practice is very efficient. I feel that they have everything trimmed so they can see as many animals as possible, with things such as careful timing. That's a plus. Cats don't have to sit with dogs in the waiting room, also good. The vets do seem a bit rushed or distracted sometimes, but I understand. They have long days. They give useful brochures pertaining to your animals condition. Reception is friendly and welcoming. I think they would care for your animals well. They have been my practice for over 20 years.

Such a great team at pt chev vets. My large dog has huge anxiety about vet visits, which makes it really hard when she needs treatment, but they have a decisive plan to get her through and are caring and vigilant of her needs (and mine!) at the same time. I have complete confidence with their expertise in diagnosing and treating various problems my dog has had with her legs and paws recently and they take the time to explain things and answer any questions. Very grateful to all of them!

I was disappointed with my experience here today. Being charged $50 for a simple nail trim felt extremely expensive. The receptionist with dark hair and a septum piercing has come across as cold and unwelcoming each time I’ve visited. During my visit today, she was uncommunicative and made the environment feel uncomfortable. The clinic itself also generally has an unpleasant smell. There are some kind nurses and good vets here, which I do appreciate. However, I don’t see myself returning to this clinic.

Niamh and the team at Point Chev are incredible. Our older cat has had a run of health issues and the vets we've seen have been consistently excellent. I particularly appreciate that they are really easy to talk to and that the consultations are calm and unhurried. I'm so relieved to have found such a great vet clinic!

We had an overall negative experience at Pt Chev Veterinary Clinic. After our dog chipped his tooth, we got an appointment with Joelle, who was very helpful, booking us in for an X-ray and bonded sealant the following week. The next three days we kept calling the clinic regarding our quote for the procedure, which the receptionist assured us would be sent by the end of the day- they were just too busy. This was frustrating, but I guess Easter weekend was approaching. Finally, after calling on the third day to chase up the quote, the Irish receptionist informed us our X-ray/surgery was now cancelled due to being a surgeon down and they had to reschedule. When I explained that we were going away the following day on our honeymoon, she said “I don’t know what you expect me to say?” This receptionist was so cold and rude every time we called- I expect far more compassion from somebody in this line of work, and consideration that cancelled surgeries are extremely stressful. At the very least, she could have directed us to another vet clinic who may have been able to do the surgery- fortunately we found one at short notice ourselves. We won’t be returning to this clinic.
