Indoor doggy daycare on Gasson Street in Sydenham, close to central Christchurch. Dogs are grouped by age, size and temperament with separate puppy, adolescent and small-dog areas, communal rest spaces instead of kennels, and aversion-free handling throughout. Pricing is a simple casual day rate or a five-visit concession card, with last drop-off at 10am.

The staff at paws were fantastic. I rang in a bit of a dilemma. I have two very large dogs. Very, very large dogs 1x 10-year-old Irish wolfhound cross. And 1x Nine month old Irish Wolfhound. The 10-year-old is an old boy and bombproof, I wasn’t worried about him. But the nine month old is a female who is quite nervous and when she is nervous, she growls. This can be extremely intimidating as she is around 50 kg and stands at the height of a tall man’s hip. I was having excavator work done in the backyard and both dogs couldn’t be outside while the excavator was working. As you can imagine having two large dogs inside day in, day out was frustrating them and me! The staff at paws accommodated me at very short notice with two very large dogs! They updated me during the day on how they were going. And made wonderful in roads to accommodating ‘mouse’ with her nervous growling. Both dogs were happy and I think a bit worn out, when they got home. Thanks very much to the owner and staff for accommodating us at such short notice.

Louis has been going to Paws for over a year now — time really flies! He was just a little puppy when we first visited after his final vaccination. The following Monday he went for his trial day, and the rest is history. From day one, Alex, Willow, and the rest of the amazing team have been nothing short of incredible. They treat every dog like their own and have created such a warm, fun, and safe environment. Louis absolutely loves his daycare days — he’s a regular twice a week and always comes home happy, tired, and full of joy. Sending him to Paws has truly been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for him. Thank you to the entire Paws team for loving my boy and giving him the best time every week! 🐾❤️

Have been taking my Amstaff girl to Paws since 2024 and she absolutely loves her days at “school”. She comes home happy and sleepy, and it is so good for her socialization skills. The staff are amazing and obviously keep them well entertained during the day. The updates on Instagram during the day are so cute! Highly recommend this daycare for your furkids 🥰

My dog Bertie has been going to Paws since he was a puppy, and now at 3 years old he still gets so excited to go. He can be quite nervous around strangers, but the team at Paws have made him feel incredibly comfortable. He absolutely adores them and can’t get enough. I highly recommend Paws to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy team for their dog

My dog has been coming to Paws since he was a little puppy. He loves it there and always jumps out of the car happy to arrive. Alex and the entire team are so friendly and helpful. Love the daily photos and videos on Facebook and Instagram so i can see what a great day Gus as had.
