Fabulous service. Our regular vet was unavailable but we were given a list of alternatives, all of whom were unavailable except this clinic which was able to squeeze us in for an early evening appointment before the long weekend. Such a relief! Front counter service was welcoming and personable. And Dr Laura was exceptional with our dog, including the care and attention in diagnosis, her recommendations for next steps, and her follow-up as promised. And the bill didn’t blow the budget! All in all, a positive experience. We have no hesitation in recommending the clinic to others. Thanks team!

Fantastic experience after I had to bring two dogs in without any notice that needed emergency care. The vet and staff took care of them immediately. They were personable and supportive at very reasonable prices.

While the staff and care for my cat were good, the charging I experienced today was extremely disappointing. My cat was under anaesthetic for dental examinations and teeth cleaning (which cost $988) and I was quoted between $750 and $1100 to have 3 teeth removed during the procedure. That is an excessive amount for just 3 teeth while the cat was already under. Now the cat has to undergo another procedure to have these teeth removed at another time. And I was quoted $1200 to $2200 to have the teeth removed at a different time. If the 3 teeth could have been removed at a reasonable charge that would have delivered good care to my cat. Instead I’m left with looking for another vet that I can trust to care at a reasonable cost.

I honestly can’t speak highly enough of the team at Aldwins Road Vet Clinic. From the moment you walk in, you’re made to feel welcome, listened to and genuinely cared for – not just as a client, but as someone who clearly loves their fur-babies. The staff are incredibly kind, patient and understanding, and they take the time to explain everything in a way that actually makes you feel confident and reassured. What really stands out to me is how calm and gentle they are with the animals. You can see straight away that this isn’t “just a job” for them – they truly care. My cat was treated with so much compassion and respect, and that means the world to me as a pet owner. The vets and nurses are professional, knowledgeable and approachable, and there’s a genuine warmth in the clinic that instantly puts both you and your pet at ease. It’s comforting to know there is a place in Christchurch where your animals are treated like family. If you’re looking for a vet clinic that combines expertise with heart, Aldwins Road Vet Clinic is exactly that. Absolutely deserving of five stars – and more
