Tara is hands down the best vet I have taken my dog to. I couldn't wish for a better vet to support us through my dogs senior years and keep her comfortable. Tara’s approach is kind, compassionate, and thorough. I always feel heard, supported, and well informed leaving the consults which is not always the case when you wish to have a more natural approach to pet care. (Raw diet, acupuncture etc). The clinic itself is a quiet and calm environment, not overly clinical and appointments are timed well as I have never had another pet in reception when we walk in. I have been able to stay with my dog whilst she was sedated and be there when she was waking up. Genuinely the perfect clinic for my nervous dog! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I found Kowhai vet by accident when I had a very sick pup and couldn’t get into my usual vet. The experience was so exceptional that I have transferred. I continue to be impressed by this team and how kind and caring they are. The priority is always the wellbeing of the animals. Everything is explained clearly and questions are welcome. Highly recommend.

I only found out about Kowhai Vets after seeing them when out in Opawa one afternoon, and having just taken in a 2yo rescue cat I needed a local vet to have him checked out, well he has became quite a regular visitor after having discovered a few health issues. Tara has such a caring manner and puts you at ease straight away, and my new cat is content and happy at each visit. I highly recommend Kowhai Vets for the knowledge and care they provide.

The team at Kowhai Vets are incredible. My dog loves coming here and she used to be petrified of the vets. I recently had my dog in for surgery and also my cat in for extensive dental surgery. From start to finish they were so friendly, caring and professional, the pre-calming meds are genius as my pets walked in there super calm and almost asleep, which really reduced theirs and my anxiety about the day. Both animals had a super quick recovery and are so much healthier and happier now. Thank you so much 🧡

The staff at Kowhai Vets are compassionate and very patient. They took their time with my girl and didn’t force her to do anything (like stand still etc) they went at her pace. My girl loves this vet practice so much that she actually gets excited to go in - could be all the treats and pats. Highly recommend especially if your pet is a bit anxious and doesn’t like to be rushed
