What pet owners say
Takurua Vets is the place where you absolutely want your pets to be cared for, whether for their vet services or their cattery service, they're consistent, attentive, and amazing. I recently used their cattery service, once for a shorter stay in December, and another for just over one months stay in Feb and they were incredible. They are very communicative and send plenty of photos and videos of your pet every other day. They give clear updates which show they are really going the extra mile to interact and take care of your pet. If there is anything they are worried about, such as your cat being anxious or not going toilet enough, they will communicate it asap and outline options they think are appropriate to achieve the best level of comfort for them. My cat Onyx needed a teeth clean while he was there and they were great at giving updates and sending photos/videos of him and ensuring I knew he was doing great and was healthy. I don't normally leave reviews but I felt their services knocked it out of the park and they deserve to be more recognised for their hard work! Thank you to the team for making my Onyx's stay so comfortable, I know he can be cheeky :)

Thank you so much to the wonderful team at Takurua Vets for taking such great care of our cat, Louie. We received regular updates every few days, and it was clear how much care and attention went into making sure his stay was comfortable and that he was happy while we were away. The staff were friendly, professional, and genuinely caring. Highly recommend Takurua Vets to anyone looking for a safe and welcoming place for their cat’s staycation. Huge thanks to Rosie, Jamira, Katy, and Jess, we really appreciate everything you did. See you next time! 🐾

We’ve had such a wonderful experience with Takurua Vets. All the vets, nurses, and receptionists are incredibly kind, caring, and attentive. Stella had surgery at the end of last year, and since then she has been looked after so closely by the team. Every appointment is calm and never rushed — they always take the time to explain everything and make sure Stella is comfortable and well cared for. We always feel listened to, supported, and reassured. It gives us so much peace of mind knowing our girl is in such loving and professional hands. We’re extremely happy with the care Stella receives and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Takurua Vets to anyone looking for a compassionate and trustworthy veterinary clinic.

After hours emergency care was fast & efficient and thankyou for thoroughly explaining what happens and how dangerous it can be for when dogs eat corn cobs. My dog loved the friendly, calm visit including the treats while being treated. (He safely vomited out the corn cob bits straight after the vomit inducing injection and now I have peace of mind there are no stuck bits in his digestive and small intestine area!)

My elderly cat recently stayed with Takurua Vets for two weeks, the first time she had been in a cattery! I received updates every second day of how my girl was going with her food, toileting, general behaviour & mood, and recieved prompt responses to any queries I had. On drop off, I was given ample time to settle her in, at not point did I feel rushed. The same when it came time to pick her back up. All the staff I interacted with from the cattery were very caring and attentive with not just my little girl, but the other cats in the cattery. She's come home happy & content, her fur is soft and lush, eating well and readjusted to home with no issues! I would not hesitate to use Takurua Vets again! Highly recommended!
