A long-established boarding kennels and cattery on Puketaha Road in Rototuna, on Hamilton's rural northern edge. Dog boarding is charged as a flat 24-hour rate across three size bands, from small dogs up to giant breeds, with daycare also offered. A cattery rounds things out for households with both cats and dogs.

Can not recommend these guys enough. Our dogs just love turning up to stay and also enjoy coming home. We have used multiple kennels over the years and hand down for care of our dogs they are the best. Clean, great food, care and fun are all qualities that they offer. Our old dog Teddy Girl has stayed at Animal Lodge twice now & absolutely loved it each time. Both times we picked her up she was smiling from ear to ear & very excited to tell us what a fantastic time she’d had. Thanks team 🐕🦺 from us & her. 🖤

Yanking on our 7 month old dogs lead so violently that she does a full back flip & then ignoring that incident and quickly moving to attend to the next person collecting their dog was the first. Ok, mistakes happen but then our dog was apparently incessantly noisy during 'quiet time', their solution if I wanted her to keep attending, a 'bark collar'. Conversely, at her new daycare, from her first day, she settled quickly and even slept. So glad that now we have a fab, clean, spacious indoor and outdoor, fully supervised daycare that encourages a walk through, has an interesting doggy playground in both the indoor and outdoor spaces and are super friendly & great communicators. They will even text an update during the day, with pics, if you want.
