The Vet House is a general small-animal clinic in the Matangi Factory complex east of Hamilton, serving dogs, cats and small mammals including rabbits and rodents. Alongside routine and surgical care it runs advanced in-house diagnostics (digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, PennHIP) and advertises 24/7 emergency cover.

A month ago, I brought my two fur babies in to see Gabe for a check-up. I'm grateful to say that one is in his prime health, and the other had a few dental issues, which I knew were likely to need to be operated on. Today, my baby Queen got three teeth removed; she spent the whole day at the vets, 8:30 - 5:00 pm. The receptionist called me around 3:00 pm and said everything went well, and Queeny will be ready to pick up later in the evening as she will send some time in the recovery care unit. I was grateful they chose to call me and had her in their care throughout the whole day (even more worth the bill $). Queen is now home, purring away and is quite happy with no issues at all. The Vet House provided a procedure summary explaining in depth the aftercare and home care Queen will require over the next few days. I'm very protective of my babies, but fully trust The Vet House with their care. I'm truly grateful for the care they have provided, along with the very reasonable prices compared to some other places! I will definitely be returning in the future to see this lovely team! We are beyond grateful for the incredible care and compassion shown to us and a very sick little kitten today. We found this tiny kitten in heartbreaking condition and weren’t sure what to do, but Gabe immediately slotted us in and truly went above and beyond to help save her. He didn’t hesitate, he didn’t rush us, and he treated her like she mattered just as much as any long-time patient. You can tell this isn’t just a job to him, he genuinely cares. He is doing absolutely everything he can for her, and that means more to us than we can say. Diane at reception was also so lovely and kind. From the moment we walked in feeling stressed and emotional, she made us feel supported and welcome. That warmth makes such a difference in moments like these. Thank you for your skill, compassion, and willingness to go the extra mile. We will never forget it. 🐾✨

We’ve been going to see Gabe and Mia (along with the rest of the amazing staff) for years and they have been consistently fabulous. They show professionalism, concern, and care for my animals. They have been great with both my cat and dogs, who are very happy customers! I cannot recommend them highly enough; they are truly amazing people and workers.

Gabe has been our fur babies vet for more than 20 years. 3 dogs and 4 cats later we have a new fur baby to love on. Thank you Gabe, Demi and the most beautiful receptionist on this planet! Marley is a very luck boy to have you all in his doggie life.
