About

Cameronian Pet Lodge is tucked into the Whirinaki Valley about 20 minutes southwest of Rotorua, run by owners with decades of boarding experience. Dogs board on size-based rates and spend their days in supervised play, with daily photo updates and an optional pickup-and-drop-off service that regulars rate highly. Note the lodge charges by the day in care rather than by the night — a single overnight counts as two days — and cats are welcome provided they are desexed.

Though we are in Napier Camerion Pet Lodge were recommended to us. My 2 dogs stayed for nearly a month. It was worth the effort of driving 2 hours to Atimuri. They posted photos most days of our dogs happy enjoying there stay. Trichelle and Jared went out of there way to make sure all my requests were adhered to. We were very happy to have our dogs so well cared for. We would use them again and recommend them to other dog owners. Many thanks.

I was on holiday from Northland when a medical event meant I had to kennel my dog last minute. My dog is high needs around reactivity so I was nervous about her staying in an unfamiliar place. She couldn't have had a better experience! When I picked her up she was reluctant to leave! She had a wonderful time, got on well with the other dogs and was happy and relaxed. I'm very grateful to the team for taking her on and their exceptional care. Highly recommend ❤️

Luigi stayed over the NY period . He’s never been away from Us except daycare so we weren’t sure how he would go . He had lots of little doggy mates to play with and was getting lots of cuddles. The daily pictures also helped to see he was ok. He came home happy . The owners provide a pick up and drop off service for a small fee which was sooo good

Absolutely amazing! I am so impressed! Our 7month old pup Ginger LOVED! Her stay! Such a great place and great owners. The pick up and drop off option is great! They also gave ginger a wash before we put her in the car! Our go to pet lodge!
