Holistic Vets is a Tauranga South general small-animal clinic on Fraser Street that blends conventional veterinary care with integrative therapies such as acupuncture, herbal medicine and nutritional medicine. It runs a 24-hour emergency service and offers house calls alongside in-house surgery and diagnostics.

We came to Holistic Vets after a difficult experience elsewhere, where our cat was given multiple diagnoses with no real answers. By the time we arrived, her eye was badly inflamed. Liza was amazing — so gentle, caring, and made us feel truly heard. She talked us through both holistic and medical options, included us in every decision, and was very clear about costs and the plan moving forward. They were also able to properly diagnose what was going on, which gave us so much relief. All of the staff were incredibly kind and compassionate, and the aftercare was beautiful — they followed up and checked in on Shuri, which meant a lot to us. Our girl was so well looked after, and the home care guidance made everything much less stressful. We’re so grateful for the care we received 💛

These people are awesome! Highly recommend getting acupuncture done here on your pet. My old boy gets it when he puts his neck or shoulder out. Staff are kind, friendly and patient. They have all the usual medicines but also have a holistic outlook too which I like.

We have been (mostly remote) clients with Holistic Vets for almost a year and the service has been absolutely stellar! Liza and her team are extremely attentive, caring, approachable, compassionate and just overall fantastic to deal with. Recently we had one of our dogs in for a surgery and the level of care and attention we have received is A+++. I cannot recommend enough :)
