What pet owners say
We love Carevets. Cody on the front desk is super friendly and helpful. The vets & nurses that treat our dog are so patient with him as they can see he is nervous. Nothing is ever an issue at Carevets Kapiti, so easy to deal with and full of knowledge. Highly Recommend

Was responsible for TWO of my beloved pets death TWICE. the least empathetic people you will ever meet. Firstly; two years ago when I was only 15 I woke up to my childhood cat foaming from the mouth, lethargic, groaning, in extreme pain, straight as ‘care’ vets opened I called them and explaing I need my cat to be uthunised immediately as he was suffering. They explained that there were no vets avalaible that day, I begged them to see my cat as he was dying and in extreme discomfort and i understand there are other animals needing supprit but I think a appointment for a dog that just needs a routine checkup does not need to have priority over a dying cat, they offerd no sympathy, no advice, no care and overall my cat ended up dying in my arms after a horrible 6 hours. secondly, Monday afternnon I found my guinea pig breathing extremely fast, barley moving, making weird sounds, and very bloated. I called care vets and begged to be seen, they said there were no current vets there. I CALLED AT 4pm and they don’t close until 6. I then asked to please atlesst give me some advice and I just got told to call somebody else and “bye goodlcuk” ONCE AGAIN my guinea pig passed away uncomfortably and in pain. you call yourself “care vets” but this is the second time you have left a distressed teenager who’s home alone with their dying beloved pet alone and without help. I have no idea how you go home at night and carry on with your lives, not feeing even the slightest bit bad for the harm you have done. Will never come back here again, awful awful.

We had an awful experience with our 16year old Boarder terrier! She tumbled off the bed & ripped her ligament in her knee. She could not walk & was clearly in a lot of pain. We thought we were going to have to go down the euthanasia route. Fortunately for all of us, Carevets were able to X-ray, &?perform a thorough examination, post administering pain medication. We took her in at 9am, & returned at one p.m. We were able to take her home, & a filled prescription of anti infamatory/pain meds. The nurse(Kate) was wonderful! She was not patronising about my floods of tears. She was warm, pragmatic & informative. I would highly recommend them!!
