PETVET Lower Hutt is a full-service small-animal clinic on Rutherford Street in Melling, handling everything from vaccinations and desexing to soft-tissue and orthopaedic surgery, dentistry and in-house imaging. It runs structured programmes including puppy school, weight management and senior-pet care, and refers after-hours emergencies to the Wellington After Hours Vet Clinic.

My cat is given a second chance after visiting PetVet in Lower Hutt. I came in for a second opinion as I felt my previous Vet was mismanaging her because his last prognosis was keep her comfortable until she passes. With previous Vet my cat stopped eating, stopped going number 2s, lost so much weight, retrobulbar and oral issues getting worse. Went to PetVet, change of medication and paib relief and after 2 weeks she has put on weight, eating more, looks more comfortable, litter tray regularly. Not out of the woods yet but on the right track now.
