Vet Smart is a general small-animal veterinary clinic on Grays Road in Plimmerton, serving the northern Porirua coast. It runs extended weekday hours (8am-7pm) plus Saturday mornings, and refers out-of-hours emergencies to Wellington After Hours Veterinary Clinic.

So glad we have made the switch to Vet Smart Plimmerton. Tui’s second visit was an operation, and it was so reassuring to see her dash through the door excitedly on her 3rd visit (post op check) to say hi to Dr Pete and Nurse Tracy. She adores them both, and they are fantastic with her. Nurse Amanda was great too at explaining the process to me on the phone and also later in person. The stand out for us is that they genuinely care. It is a very welcoming environment and we highly recommend 🐾🐾

Love the outdoor dog wash. $12 for 10 minutes, available 24/7. Has pay-wave or coin payment options there via self service. Awesome high pressure dryer. Flea treatment, shampoo, conditioner. They charged me $80 just to see my rabbit. They told me he was fine, a little underweight, but everything was normal. That same night my rabbit died. The point is, if they had given him some medication, it would have been a different story. But to charge $80 for nothing and then have my rabbit die the same day... I truly consider it unethical, an abuse, and a scam. I don't recommend this place. Go somewhere else if your pets are sick.

The first time we met the Vet Smart team, was sadly, the day we had to say goodbye to our furry friend. I cannot recommend Vet Smart highly enough!! Their team was incredible on one of the darkest days our family has faced this year. Thank you for your compassion and care. 💗

Have always had a great experience with Vet Smart, and even more so recently. They go above & beyond for the furry babies & to me that's what it is all about. The Vets are very professional & the Vet nurses are compassionate beyond means. You can tell they love their job when you take your pets here.
