Wellington After Hours Vet Clinic is a dedicated emergency and critical-care practice in Ngauranga that picks up when daytime vets are closed, open every evening, weekend and public holiday across the year. With on-site vets, surgery, X-ray, lab and hospital facilities, it handles life-threatening cases from seizures and bloat to trauma, and takes referrals for after-hours and post-operative monitoring.

I felt the staff genuinely cared for my cat (and the others in the waiting room, AND the deceased cat that was brought in by a member of the public while we were waiting). I could tell the staff I interacted with were empathetic, experienced, and gave me clear information and timely updates. They let me understand throughout the process (even before I brought him in) what the cost of things were likely to be so that I could make grounded decisions. They understood and treated his issue and didn't press for more expensive or invasive treatments. They managed what was for me a frightening and serious situation, with grace and friendliness, and also took time during my cat's emergency to show him affection and care. When I was afraid I might lose my sweet catboy, I was comforted to know that he was in capable, caring hands, and would not be alone nor in pain if the situation turned for the worse. I am so lucky that he came home to me, and all credit is entirely due to the skills and care of the staff who treated him. I am so, so grateful.

Excellent service. My cat was seen quickly, given that Vets in my area were very busy. In and out in 20 mins and a much calmer cat. Would definitely recommend if you can’t get into your Vet after hours.

We had to go to After Hours when our dog ate a large corn cob. The team were friendly, efficient and very reassuring! He has made a full recover!

The vet who looked after our dog LetsGo was incredibly patient and thorough. He checked LetsGo so gently and carefully, and really took the time to listen while I explained what happened and when it happened.People say it’s just part of a vet’s job, but not everyone has listening ears for fur parents who are panicking. We went home feeling reassured and safe knowing LetsGo was well looked after. Truly top-tier care. We just wish we got his name so we could thank him properly.

We arrived to a clean and calm reception, at which time we were promptly greeted by the receptionist, who gave us clear expectations of the process and when we were likely to be seen. Our cat, although nervous, was handled with care which put him at ease. The Dr was thorough with the examination and gave us an informative assessment on the situation. Our at home care instruction were clear. This a professionally run clinmic, with genuine care for the animals they see. I have no hesitation in recommending their services.
